Prop Firm Match Faces “Affiliate Tracking Allegations”; Topstep, Apex, Tradeify and Goat Funded Cut Ties

Prop Firm Match, a
proprietary trading firm comparison platform, has been accused of triggering
affiliate links when visitors click internal features, including firm profiles
and promotional code buttons.

London’s trading industry is coming home!

Trader Kane
(@traderkane) raised the allegations in a video posted on X on Thursday. He
said the redirects occurred when visitors clicked these features rather than
advertised external links. The original browser tab was reportedly redirected
through an affiliate link to the relevant prop firm’s website, while the
intended page opened in a new tab.

Are we still on the “deceitful marketing algo”? Hey @PropFirmMatch, did you knowingly push an update that stuffs cookies when people aren’t clicking links advertised in the code as external websites?

Here’s what happens: someone clicks the profile page or copy code link that links to the internal page and your javascript handler redirects the original tab through an affiliate link to the firm’s website and opens the intended link a new tab… sounds pretty knowing to me.

You even ban your affiliates from forcing cookies.. but you can, huh?

Some pretty big affiliates have gone to prison for cookie stuffing.

I used @MattLeech’s MFFU as an example in this video but this happens on most firms listed on their website (I didn’t check them all).

Firms are banning traders for deceitful marketing, if this isn’t deceitful what is?

Apex, Tradeify and Topstep Cut
Ties

Apex Trader Funding
announced on X on Friday (30 October) that it had terminated its affiliate
relationship with Prop Firm Match and disabled all associated tracking codes.

🚨BREAKING: PROP FIRM MATCH OFFICIALLY DELISTED! 💀

This is getting BIGGER than anyone expected.

Major firms are now cutting ties with @PropFirmMatch, including:

• FundingPips
• GoatFunded Trader
• GFFutures
• Lucid Trading
• Take Profit Trader
• Blue Guardian
• Alpha Capital
• Apex Trader Funding

Following serious cookie-stuffing allegations and concerns over referral tracking practices, firms are taking action.

Major firms has already terminated its affiliate partnership and disabled all associated tracking codes.

THE INDUSTRY IS TAKING A STAND.

Yesterday it was allegations. Today, major firms are walking away.

This could be one of the biggest shake-ups the prop firm industry has seen. 👀

— Trusted Prop Hub (@TrustedPropHub) October 30, 2026

Apex said the decision
followed a review of referral tracking practices and compliance with its
Affiliate Marketing Agreement. It did not specify which practices prompted the
termination or whether it found a breach of the agreement.

Apex Trader Funding has terminated its affiliate relationship with Prop Firm Match, effective immediately. All associated affiliate tracking codes have been disabled.

This decision follows a review of referral tracking practices and compliance with our Affiliate Marketing Agreement.

We hold all affiliates to clear standards regarding transparency, accurate referral attribution, and responsible marketing practices.

Protecting the integrity of our Affiliate Program and ensuring fair, transparent referral practices remain priorities for Apex Trader Funding.

— ApexTraderFunding (@ApexTradeFund) October 30, 2026

Tradeify also
announced on X that it had ended its relationship with Prop Firm Match after
finding that the platform had breached its affiliate terms. The decision also
means Prop Firm Match will no longer sponsor the Premier Trading League (PTL).

We’ve decided to part ways with @PropFirmMatch.

After looking closely at how referrals to our site were being generated, we found they broke our affiliate terms, so we’re stepping away.

This also means @PropFirmMatch will no longer sponsor the Premier Trading League @JoinPTL.

It’s a shame the relationship had to end this way. The affiliate space needs leaders to keep it fair for traders. We’ll be looking closely at all of our affiliates going forward.

— Tradeify (@Tradeify) October 30, 2026

Topstep has also said it is ending its relationship with Prop Firm Match. The firm said it had paid $10,000 per month for a listing, with its highest position reaching sixth place. It claimed that the first-place listing costs $100,000 per month. Ending the arrangement will save Topstep $10,000 monthly.

Goat Funded Trader has also terminated its
affiliate partnership with Prop Firm Match, adding to the list of firms ending
their relationships with the platform.

Effective immediately, Goat Funded Trader have terminated its affiliate partnership with Prop Firm Match.

All associated tracking codes are disabled.

This follows a review of referral tracking practices.

We do not compromise on transparency, accurate attribution, or responsible marketing.

The integrity of our program comes first. Always.

Affiliate Rules
Prohibit Forced Tracking

Prop Firm Match’s
affiliate terms prohibit hidden iframe redirects, forced cookies and other
methods of artificially generating referrals. Its website discloses that it
earns commissions from prop firm challenge purchases made through its affiliate
links and promotional codes.

fyi – we are dropping Prop firm Match.. we didn’t have a code and we paid them $10k a month to list us (best rank we got was 6th place.. i heard 1st cost $100k/m) … now we save $10k a month… time to have a @TopstepTV Fire Drill (thats where we give away stuff on tv) .. we got an extra $10,000 a month in our budget!! Let go!

— mp (@MichaelPatak) October 30, 2026

The alleged redirects
have raised questions about how affiliate referrals are attributed and whether
the practice complies with the platform’s own rules.

Effective immediately @PropFirmMatch affiliate partnership is terminated.

All their commissions for the month are forfeited, and financial claims are going to be pursued.

We have caught the cookies practices in August, took actions on it and Our rank dropped from Nr. 1 best seller to Nr.10.

Plus being told that traders picking us over other firms costs them money, which I understand since their commission is same as any other affiliate.

Since the beginning we have supported them, tech, expertise and features, yet that business grew into something I personally don’t believe in.

Adios 👊🏽

Prop Firm Match
Says It Is Investigating

Prop Firm Match
responded to Kane’s post, saying: “We’re looking into the questions raised
and will share a full statement within 24 hours.”

Kane used My Funded
Futures (MFFU) as an example in his video, but directed his allegations at Prop
Firm Match’s website practices, not MFFU.

Finance Magnates has contacted Prop Firm
Match for comment but had not received a response at the time of writing.
